MiLLi* Summer School qualifies 32 young people from youth organizations, civic education and media organizations in Namibia to become MiLLi* Facilitators. MiLLi* Facilitators thereafter implement MiLLi* Projects in their communities and educate the youths on Media and Information Literacy (MIL).

Why: With the MiLLi* First Level Qualification you will obtain a MiLLi* Facilitator Certificate which enables you to run MiLLi* projects with youth groups in your community – starring within in the MiLLi* Youth Network.

How does becoming a MiLLi* Facilitator benefit your professional career?

  • Becoming a MiLLi* Facilitator enhances important competencies and skills that are useful for any professional career.
  • The competencies of a MiLLi* Facilitator are not just media and media literacy related but also very fundamental and important personal skills that can be applied in any professional environment.
  • A MiLLi* Facilitator is well structured and well skilled in facilitating.
  • Being a MiLLi* Facilitator needs self-confidence as well as excellent communication skills in different situations with a variety of people.

  • MiLLi* Facilitators have competencies in creating a conducive environment, creative problem solving and outcome based presentation in their focus area.

Who: Educators or group leaders who are connected to either a youth organisation, school, another educational structure or an organisation working with or for media / previous experience in training, teaching or coaching is of advantage.
